This photo that was taken while CHRISTOPHER was filming 'Somebody Up There Likes Me' - his first film. The picture was taken by WILSON MILLAR. WILSON, being a mutual friend of CHRISTOPHER and JAMES DEAN'S. And, in fact, CHRISTOPHER is wearing one of JIM'S shirts in this photo. JIM was signed to do this picture. After his passing, PAUL NEWMAN was assigned the role.

From CHRISTOPHER:
13 Years Old. I recall this as though it were yesterday. I tap danced to a song called, "At Sundown." To this day, if I hear the music, my tendency is to get up and do the steps. I took this number to a Talent Contest sometime later, and won First Prize.
There was a local Talent Scout in the audience, and he ultimately had me performing in many theatrical productions around town, and in San Francisco.

From CHRISTOPHER: "Don't ask me how my picture got on the cover of this sheet music, for I have no idea. Of course, at the time, I thought it was a big deal. I think I was 19 years old here. I'd been in Hollywood for about a year, so..... ANY kind of publicity was very important to me.
From the look on my face, I gather I was still quite innocent and naive!"
